Can comics and Shakespeare co-exist in the classroom? One innovative program in Texas is now a model for how kids can get creative with Shakespeare by making and sharing digital comics using Pixton, the groundbreaking online comic-builder.
The Miller Junior High School teaching team won the Time Warner Cable's Spotlight on Education Award for their project “Pixton with Shakespeare.” Miller's eighth grade Language Arts Department was studying “The Tempest”, and the teachers wanted to enrich the learning experience through the use of technology.

2009 International Digital Emmy Award recipients feted at MIPTV
MIPTV-Cannes, March 30th, 2009 — The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced tonight the winners for the International Digital Emmy® Awards at a ceremony organized in partnership with Reed Midem, during the MIPTV Opening festivities in Cannes, France.

New York - Nominees from 9 countries will compete for this year’s International Digital Emmy® Awards, presented at a special ceremony on Monday, March 30, at MIP-TV in Cannes. There are 12 nominees in 3 categories; Digital Program: Children & Young People; Digital Program: Fiction and Digital Program: Non-Fiction. FanTrust clients win big at Canadian New Media Awards
Toronto – Canada's blockbuster awards show recognized FanTrust clients with four major awards at its 8th annual gala. The Canadian New Media Awards, which celebrate excellence in digital business and production, singled out a total of 14 outstanding companies and individuals.
"The Awards were highly competitive this year," said FanTrust Entertainment Strategies President Catherine Warren. "We are pleased but not surprised that a number of our distinguished clients were acknowledged by a jury of industry peers."
