Studio B hires digital advisor

Canadian animation house Studio B has taken on a digital entertainment consultant to help it leverage its output in the new media space.

The company has retained the services of Catherine Warren, president of FanTrust Entertainment Strategies, who is charged with providing strategies and technologies for building relationships and revenue in digital media.

“Catherine is an expert in the new media arena, and her vision will help us increase our exposure for our animation. She will also work with us to develop new revenue streams,” said Studio B partner Blair Peters.

Warren will be working on classic Studio B series such as Yvon of the Yukon, as well as developing “revolutionary” ideas for new series like The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers and Ricky Sprocket, Showbiz Boy. She will be looking at areas such as mobile, iPods and fan-based interactivity.

FanTrust works with broadcasters, gaming companies and ad agencies to develop ‘fan’ relationships and revenues. Among FanTrust’s clients are Nokia, ad agency TBWA and Canadian pubcaster CBC.
