Pirate Express Leads TELETOON Canada’s Latest Original Production Slate

TELETOON Canada Inc. announced its latest original production slate, featuring a brand new CGI version of the beloved Canadian animated series Inspector Gadget and swashbuckling new series Pirate Express, as well as the renewals of Rocket Monkeys (Season 2), Endangered Species (Season 2), Total Drama (Season 6) and Johnny Test (Season 7).

This announcement was made from the Banff World Media Festival, where TELETOON is a proud sponsor of the Kids and Animation program for the fourth consecutive year.

“TELETOON Canada has developed a reputation for consistently delivering high quality original programming that not only strikes a chord with Canadian audiences, but sees remarkable success on an international scale, and this year is no exception,” said Alan Gregg, Director, Original Content, TELETOON Canada Inc. “We are extremely proud of the new and returning shows we have developed in collaboration with our talented production partners, and are very excited to bring them to the screen.”

In addition to this newly announced lineup of productions and renewals, TELETOON Canada will be premiering a number of original programs this year, including new series Camp Lakebottom (Summer 2013), Grojband (Fall 2013), Endangered Species (Winter 2014) and Packages From Planet X (Winter 2014), as well as returning hits Detentionaire Season 3 (Fall 2013), Johnny Test Season 6 (Fall 2013), Fugget About It Season 2 (Fall 2013), Just Kidding Season 2 (Winter 2014) and Total Drama All-Stars Season 5 (Winter 2014).
