Mexican Companies Get Market-Ready with FanTrust Entertainment Strategies

Vancouver/Mexico City – October 6, 2014 – Seventy-five media executives convened in Mexico City for the first entertainment market-readiness summit, supported by ProMexico, the country’s international agency for export and investment. Developed and delivered by global digital strategy firm FanTrust, the summit was designed to position Mexican entertainment companies to capitalize on new business abroad.

The two-day exclusive seminar gave TV producers, animation studios, distributors, broadcasters and digital media companies executive insights into dealmaking at international events. Aimed at media leaders attending MIPCOM, the world’s largest content market held annually in Cannes, participants took inspiration on topics from business intelligence to business development.

“We were able package and deliver this professional development event in large part through our relationship with TechBA, the Mexican government’s digital media accelerator program,” said FanTrust president Catherine Warren. Aimed at start-up expansion into the US and Canada, TechBA is a longstanding FanTrust client. “FanTrust was selected by the group’s ProMexico colleagues in Mexico City to galvanize national media companies around European expansion through this innovation summit,” she said.

The FanTrust Mexico City events were also webcast live September 29-30, 2014 to allow media executives from elsewhere in Mexico to participate.

Mexico is the “Country of Honor” at this year’s MIPCOM, October 13-16, 2014.
